Running status (revised) Created in 1974 as a marine chronometer, its prototype was unveiled at the 1970 Basel Fair as 'the most accurate watch ever created'. Of the only 1000 units in the MQ 1510 caliber (including several in gold), only 100 have the iconic 'stardust' dial, each manually made from natural aventurine mineral powder. The MQ's quartz crystal oscillates at 2,359,296 MHz, 72 times faster than a normal quartz crystal. Various sophisticated mechanisms allow time change without altering the heartbeat of the second hand, designed to beat exact seconds.
